Israeli airstrikes on Gaza continued over the weekend, killing at least 49 people, according to Palestinian health officials. Around 100 others were reported injured in the latest wave of attacks.

The Israeli military stated it has targeted more than 1,800 sites across Gaza since the resumption of military operations on March 18. A Hamas official indicated that the group is open to negotiating the release of all remaining Israeli hostages in exchange for a five-year truce.

So far, there has been no official response from Israel regarding the proposed ceasefire. Meanwhile, the United Nations' World Food Programme confirmed that its food and medical supplies have been exhausted amid the ongoing Israeli blockade. Israeli officials said the blockade is intended to increase pressure on Hamas to secure the release of additional hostages.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate as fighting intensifies, with aid agencies warning of a looming catastrophe if supplies are not urgently replenished.
