At least three people were shot dead in the Canadian province of British Columbia, police announced on Monday.
Authorities revealed that four people were shot in the incident in the city of Langley, 50 kilometers south of Vancouver.
"Multiple shooting scenes in the downtown core in the city of Langley with one incident in Langley township involving transient victims," an alert sent to BC residents' phones read.
The alert said the suspect was described as a white man in overalls and a camouflage T-shirt.

Police confirmed one man believed to be responsible for the shootings was arrested just before 7 a.m., but pointed out that officers were still determining whether the suspect acted alone.
"We do have a male suspect in custody. However, we are [in the process of] ruling out any other outstanding inpiduals before we stand the emergency alert down," said Langley RCMP Sgt. Rebecca Parslow.
Parslow sated that there were several victims, but did not specify how many. She said the victims were homeless and that police believe the attack was targeted.
The Langley police department said in a statement: "Out of an abundance of caution, an Emergency Alert was issued until investigators can confirm that the suspect was acting alone. The Langley RCMP, with the assistance of the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team, took one male into custody who we believe is responsible for the shootings."
