On Saturday, at least 20 people were injured after a vehicle drove into a crowd on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, according to the LA Fire Department.
More than five people have been critically injured, and more than 10 are in a serious condition.
According to the fire department, the location of the incident is near a music venue, CNN reported.
It is not clear the real motives behind the accident.
The people who were injured were transported to local hospitals or trauma centres, LAFD Captain Adam VanGerpen told reporters.
He said that the majority of those in the crowd were women waiting in line to go into a nightclub.
"It was a very chaotic scene," VanGerpen added.
