English reports said on Sunday that Aston Villa's midfielder Trézéguet suffered damage to his anterior cruciate ligament in the Villans' encounter against Liverpool in the Premier League.
Liverpool snatched a 2-1 win over Villa as the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah netted in the clash.
The reports also claimed the medical checks showed that the Egyptian star suffered from ACL injury and his season with the English has been ended.
Trezeguet has been fallen into the ground after being fouled by Trent Alexander-Arnold in the 81st minute of the game.
He made 22 caps with his team during the ongoing season as he netted two goals.
