Syrian megastar, Assala Nasri announced Thursday on Instagram that she will go live with her fans on the platform, tomorrow, Saturday, November 21.
Nasri stated that she will talk about the most prominent events that she experienced in 2020.
"Wait for me Live on Instagram on Saturday at 8:00 PM (Cairo local time), and 9"00 pm (KSA time) on my official account, " she captioned.
On Tuesday, Nasri teased her fans on Instagram with an upcoming surprise, saying: “Do you know what will happen on Saturday?”.
2020, away from the coronavirus pandemic, was eventful for the Syrian singer. Nasri evaded death, as well as separated from her husband Palestinian-American film director, Tarek Al Eryan, after a marriage that lasted for over 10 years.
On January 6, the Syrian megastar stated that she and her husband have separated. Nasri posted a photo of herself with Al Eryan on her Instagram account confirming that “With the utmost regret and sorrow” she has separated from the father of her sons (Adam and Ali).
It is worth mentioning that Assala Mostafa Hatem Nasri, most commonly known as Assala, was born on May 15, 1969, in Damascus.
She began her musical career at four years old by performing patriotic, religious, and children’s songs.
Nasri made her musical debut in 1993 with “Law te’rafou” (If you know). The album had 4 songs in the oriental operatic Tarab style composed by great Egyptian composers. The album was an instant hit with heartbreaking songs such as “Ya sabra yana” (How patient I am), and ”Samehtak ketir" (I forgave a lot).
The superstar quickly cemented her presence in a growing industry brimming with new, young talents like Najwa Karam, Saber Rebai, and Angham.
