On Friday, media reports said that Poland has sent more than 200 tanks to Ukraine, as part of new shipments of heavy weapons to support Kyiv in its war against Russia.

And the National Radio in Warsaw revealed that Poland has sent, in recent weeks, more than 200 "T-72" tanks, which were produced by the Soviet Union decades before, along with mobile artillery, drones, and rocket launchers.

The Polish radio explained that the Polish arms package is worth 1.6 billion dollars.

Ukraine's allies have dramatically increased their support for Kyiv as fierce fighting intensifies in the east of the country, while Kyiv's generals say Russia is suffering "heavy losses" in the pivotal battle for Donbas.

The military confrontations between the Russian and Ukrainian forces in the recent period are concentrated in the east. According to the British Ministry of Defense, the battle for control of the Donbas region is currently the focus of Russia's strategic focus.
