Armenian Prime Minister (PM) Nikol Pashinyan and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance signed a joint statement on Monday to conclude negotiations on a civil nuclear cooperation agreement between Armenia and the United States.
In remarks following his meeting with Vance, Pashinyan stated that the agreement would open a "new chapter" in deepening the energy partnership between Washington and Yerevan.
He noted that this cooperation would contribute to diversifying Armenia's energy sources by introducing safe and innovative technologies, according to the official "Armenpress" news agency.
Pashinyan also expressed his gratitude for the United States' unwavering support for his country, affirming Yerevan's readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation across all sectors.
It is worth mentioning that, Vice President Vance arrived in Yerevan earlier today to advance the implementation of the "Washington Peace Agreement" reached in August 2025, and to discuss the next phase of the strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States.
