The government of Armenia announced on Sunday that "Russia will intervene militarily to ensure our security in accordance with bilateral agreements."
The European Union considered that "the increase in civilian casualties in Karabakh is unacceptable," calling for immediate negotiations between the two countries.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called for an immediate ceasefire in Nagorno Karabakh and said that Moscow is ready to put an end to this conflict.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated on its website that Lavrov also informed his Armenian counterpart that Russia is concerned about the high number of victims caused by this war, which broke out in late September.
Today, Azerbaijan stated that Armenian forces fired missiles at Ganja, its second-largest city, killing a civilian and wounding four.
Azerbaijan also pledged to respond and destroy military targets inside Armenia.
On the other hand, Hayastan said that Turkey's military support for Azerbaijan is expanding the war and undermining regional security.
Hayastan denied that Azerbaijani forces controlled the "Gabriel" region in Karabakh, while the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense called on civilians in Karabakh to move away from the combat regions.
At least 72 Syrian fighters from the pro-Turkish coalitions got killed in recently, in the raging battles between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces in Nagorno Karabakh, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
