Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed on Sunday that recent diplomatic discussions in Muscat remain strictly focused on the nuclear file, emphasizing that any future negotiations will maintain this narrow scope.

Speaking at a national conference on foreign policy and diplomatic history, Araghchi noted that the results of Friday’s talks in Oman are currently under intensive review. The conference was attended by high-ranking officials, including Kamal Kharrazi, head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, and former Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi.

Focus Exclusively on the Nuclear File Araghchi reiterated Iran’s position that negotiations are limited solely to nuclear issues. "We have stated that we are negotiating exclusively on the nuclear subject," Araghchi told reporters. "If it is decided to continue these talks, they will remain on this specific path."

The Foreign Minister indicated that both sides have shown a general inclination toward continuing the diplomatic process, but a final decision on the next steps remains pending. "We are currently waiting for decisions to be made in the respective capitals," he added.

Regional Diplomacy and Stability The Muscat talks represent a critical juncture in Iran’s engagement with international powers. While details of the specific outcomes remain under study, the emphasis on a "nuclear-only" agenda suggests a strategic effort to separate technical negotiations from broader regional geopolitical tensions.

As Tehran evaluates the progress made in Oman, the international community remains watchful of whether these discussions will lead to a breakthrough in the long-standing nuclear standoff or a continuation of the diplomatic stalemate.
