ARADO Appoints Loutfi to Develop Institutional Policy

The Arab Organization for Administrative Development (ARADO) chose the Vice-Chancellor Special Envoy of Coventry University Professor Mohamed Loutfi to develop institutional internationalization policy.

The ARADO in cooperation with the Association of Arab Universities held the first Arab Forum for University Leadership entitled “Strategies for excellence in university performance” in its headquarters in Cairo.

The meeting was inaugurated by Director General of ARADO Professor Nasser Al-Hitlan Al-Qahtani and Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities Professor Amr Ezzat Salama in the presence of university presidents, deans of colleges and higher institutes and specialists representing eighteen universities from seven Arab countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Yemen, Jordan, Palestine,and Somalia.

The forum tackled the roles of Arab universities in shaping contemporary trends in the framework of major global transformations, as well as the role of universities and research institutions in promoting development, and the role of university leaders in providing university graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary for the labor market.

It also included workshops including development projects and initiatives for excellence and creativity.

The forum was conducted by Mohamed Loutfi, member of the Magna Charta Observatory, Vice-Chancellors Special Envoy of Coventry University

and David Lock Secretary-General of the Magna Chart Observatory, Director of International Projects.
