Egypt’s Minister of InvestmentInvestment and Foreign Trade, Eng. Hassan El-Khatib, met on Monday in the New Administrative Capital with a delegation from the Arab Women Investors Union, led by Dr. Huda Yousry, to explore ways to strengthen collaboration and promote investment opportunities in Egypt and across Africa and the Arab region.
During the meeting, El-Khatib emphasized the ministry’s full support for civil society organizations and business associations, praising the Union’s vital role as a “soft power” driving economic and diplomatic relations, particularly with African markets. He highlighted the importance of direct B2B meetings organized by the Union and expressed confidence in private sector capabilities to attract international investments.
Dr. Yousry outlined the Union’s achievements, noting the success of its platforms and events in connecting Arab and African investors, with high-level participation from African, European, and BRICS countries.
Both parties agreed to enhance coordination ahead of the Union’s next conference to showcase Egypt’s economic reforms and investment prospects to global delegations.
