Arab Parliament welcomed decision of Armenia to recognize the State of Palestine as an independent sovereign state, emphasizing that it represents a new victory for the Palestinian cause and diplomacy, as well as the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent state.
The Arab Parliament also affirmed that this recognition is an important step in the right direction towards the recognition of the State of Palestine by many countries around the world, supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Moreover, the Arab Parliament also stated that the increasing international recognition of Palestinian state represents a practical response to the failed plans of the occupying entity to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
Furthermore, the Arab Parliament called on all countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to proceed with recognition as a step towards ending the historical injustice suffered by the Palestinian people for decades under occupation, and in accordance with the internationally recognized two-state solution, based on international legitimacy resolutions.
It also urged the international community and all countries to stand by the Palestinian right, the Palestinian people, and their just cause.
