Arab Parliament: UAE Inspiring in Empowering Women to Celebrate Their Day

Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, praised the prestigious position that Emirati women have attained and their active role in the process of construction and development, on the occasion of the "Emirati Women's Day", which is celebrated on August 28 of each year.

He added that Emirati women have written their successes, efforts and giving inspirational success stories, and she was able to prove her worth and efficiency in all fields, which qualified her to be an essential partner for men in building and progressing society.

The Arab Parliament added that what makes us proud during the celebration of Emirati Women's Day this year is its coincidence with the passing of half a century of the march of the United Arab Emirates.

He pointed out that UAE is full of many unprecedented achievements at all levels and levels, under the wise leadership of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State and Ruler of Dubai, and their brothers, members of the Supreme Council of the Union, Rulers of the Emirates.

Al-Asoumi stressed that the Emirati leadership's interest in the issue of women's empowerment and placing it among its priorities was clearly reflected in the strengthening of its role in the comprehensive development process witnessed by the country, and its assumption of many prestigious positions at all levels, which made the United Arab Emirates an inspiring model in Empowering women enabled them to occupy the highest ranks in the indicators of gender balance.

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament also valued the great efforts made by Sheikha "Fatima bint Mubarak," President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation "Mother of the Nation," to advance the status of Emirati women and empower them in all fields, praising in this context With its recent initiative regarding the inauguration of the "Fatima Bint Mubarak Center for Women, Peace and Security," which confirms the role of the United Arab Emirates and its unremitting efforts to support women's participation to be leaders and decision-makers. Al-Asoumi also praised Her Highness' launch of several other vital initiatives and projects aimed at raising the status of Emirati women and supporting their active participation in various areas of life.
