The Arab Parliament welcomed the UN Security Council decision to adopt a resolution calling for an end to the fighting in the Republic of Sudan during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Arab Parliament stressed the need to commit to stopping hostilities in order to preserve the lives of innocent people, especially in this holy month, which has a special sanctity for Arabs and Muslims, expressing its hope that this step will pave the way towards resuming the political solution to the crisis in accordance with the outcomes of the Jeddah meetings aimed at achieving the interest of the Sudanese people in order to achieve security and stability in Sudan.
The Arab Parliament affirmed its firm position on the necessity of resolving the crisis in Sudan politically, in a way that preserves the unity of the Sudanese army, the integrity of Sudan’s lands, and the preservation of the capabilities of its people.
