The Arab Parliament on Monday welcomed a ceasefire agreement reached in Syria that includes the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces into the Syrian state, expressing hope that the deal will help strengthen security and stability across the country.
In a statement, the Arab Parliament said the agreement could contribute to improving humanitarian and living conditions for the Syrian people after years of conflict, stressing the importance of translating the deal into tangible gains on the ground.
The parliament reaffirmed its firm position in support of Syria’s unity, security and stability, emphasizing the need to preserve the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
It also underscored the importance of comprehensive political solutions that safeguard Syria’s national institutions and meet the aspirations of its people for peace and development.
The Arab Parliament called on all parties to uphold the ceasefire and work toward lasting stability in the war-torn country.
