Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al Yamahi expressed his deepest condolences to all humanity on the passing of Pope Francis, the leader of the Vatican and the Catholic Church, who died on Monday.
In an official statement, Al Yamahi described the late pontiff as a symbol of tolerance, coexistence, acceptance of others, and the promotion of interfaith dialogue.
He also praised the late Pope’s tireless efforts in establishing the principles of peace, love, unity, and human fraternity.
Moreover, Al Yamahi commended Pope Francis’s repeated calls for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and his support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to live in peace.
