Arab Parliament Hails Women's Pioneering Role in Building-up Societies

On Monday, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Asoumi, affirmed that the Arab women represent an example of giving and have proven their efficiency in various fields, saying that they have become a main partner for men in building and advancing society.

In a statement marking the International Women’s Day 2022 which falls on March 8, Arab Parliament Speaker stressed the parliament’s keenness on empowering Arab women and upgrading their skills to contribute to social development.

He said the parliament is giving women a top priority in the new action plan, voicing appreciation to the achievements realized by women in all domains.

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a worldwide event that celebrates women’s achievements - from the political to the economic, and the social - while calling for gender equality. The day has been celebrated since the early 1900s and is now recognized each year on March 8.
