The Speaker of the Arab Parliament has issued a powerful condemnation denouncing the brutal military aggression perpetrated by the occupying forces against the state of Lebanon.
In an urgent official statement, the legislative head lambasted the ongoing airstrikes and cross-border operations, labeling them as a dangerous violation of international humanitarian frameworks and sovereign state rights.
The leadership of the Arab Parliament stressed that the continuous escalation against the Lebanese territory threatens to ignite an all-out regional war. The statement called upon global superpowers and the United Nations Security Council to step away from passive observation and take immediate, decisive action to halt the military operations.
Defending Sovereignty and Civil Safety
The Speaker expressed profound concern over the mounting civilian casualties and the widespread displacement of innocent families fleeing targeted residential sectors in Lebanon. The legislative body stressed that targeting critical infrastructure, communication centers, and public neighborhoods constitutes a blatant breach of the Geneva Conventions and established international laws governing armed conflicts.
According to the parliamentary statement, maintaining regional stability requires absolute respect for Lebanon's state sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. The Arab Parliament explicitly rejected any foreign geopolitical maneuvering that seeks to compromise the borders or internal security of the Mediterranean nation.
Call for Absolute Arab Solidarity
The Arab Parliament reiterated its full, unwavering solidarity with the Lebanese people and the Lebanese government during this critical security crisis. The Speaker emphasized that Arab nations must unite their diplomatic and political influence to push back against the occupying entity’s hostile campaigns.
Concluding the announcement, the regional legislative body reaffirmed that the safety and stability of Lebanon are inextricably linked to collective Arab security. The Parliament pledged to keep the situation under close review, coordinating with international legislative assemblies to mobilize humanitarian aid and enforce global accountability measures against the ongoing military cross-border aggression.
