Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi on Monday condemned what he described as a dangerous and systematic escalation in raids by extremist Israeli settlers on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, calling them “organized terrorism” carried out under direct protection of Israeli occupation forces.

Al Yamahi said the incursions, accompanied by provocative Talmudic rituals, constitute a blatant violation of the historical and legal status quo at the holy site. He warned that the escalation is linked to Israeli authorities granting extremists official cover to perform prayers inside the compound, in what he described as an attempt to impose temporal and spatial division by force.

He added that the raids coincide with settler attacks on Palestinian civilians and property in the occupied West Bank, arguing this shows the crimes are conducted with official backing.

Al Yamahi urged regional and international parliaments, the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the United Nations to designate extremist settler groups as terrorist organizations and add them to international terrorism lists, warning that continued international silence threatens regional peace and security.
