The Arab League marked Arab Youth Day with a statement praising young people across the region as the “cornerstone” of the Arab world’s future and key drivers of development, innovation, and stability.
In its statement issued on July 5, 2026, the League said Arab youth represent the backbone of progress and play a central role in achieving sustainable development and addressing regional and global challenges.
The organization emphasized that empowering young people remains a strategic priority within joint Arab action, highlighting ongoing efforts to expand youth participation, enhance skills, and provide opportunities for innovation and leadership.
It added that the League, through the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers, continues to support youth initiatives and promote their involvement in political, social, and cultural life amid rapid technological and economic change.
The statement called on Arab youth to strengthen unity, civic engagement, and active participation in decision-making, while encouraging investment in youth-led innovation and entrepreneurship.
