Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Arab League's Media and Communication Sector, met Tuesday with Palestine's Permanent Representative to the League, Ambassador Mohannad Al-Aklouk, to discuss implementing Arab media initiatives in support of the Palestinian cause and preserving Jerusalem's historical, cultural and religious identity.
During the meeting, Al-Aklouk conveyed greetings from Palestinian Minister Ahmed Assaf and presented 140 documentary films produced by Palestine TV highlighting Jerusalem's history, its Islamic and Christian holy sites, and alleged Israeli violations targeting the city's heritage and identity.
Khattabi said the documentaries would be promoted through the Arab League's digital platforms and encouraged member states' broadcasters to air the productions, describing them as professionally produced despite difficult conditions faced by Palestinian media. The initiative follows resolutions adopted by the Council of Arab Information Ministers to strengthen media support for the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.
