Arab League Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the International Political Affairs Sector, Ambassador Dr. Khaled bin Mohammed Manzlawy, met Tuesday with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Amer Shaukat, to discuss regional and international developments.
The meeting focused on exchanging views on key political issues of mutual concern amid ongoing regional and global challenges, according to a statement from the Arab League.
Both sides reviewed ways to enhance existing cooperation mechanisms between the Arab League General Secretariat and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, with the aim of expanding prospects for constructive partnership.
Discussions were held within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed in 2005, which emphasizes strengthening political consultations and advancing Arab-Pakistani cooperation across economic, social and cultural fields.
The two officials underscored the importance of continued coordination to support shared interests and promote stability at both regional and international levels.
