Ambassador Dr. Faed Mustafa, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League and Head of the Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Sector, participated today in the opening session of an international seminar hosted by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah under the theme “The Palestinian Issue: Challenges and Prospects.”
The seminar brought together OIC member state representatives, consuls, experts, and researchers, coinciding with a consultative meeting involving the OIC, the Arab League, and the African Union on coordinated support for Palestine.
In his address, Dr. Mustafa conveyed the greetings of Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and emphasized the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza, ongoing Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank, and threats to Jerusalem’s demographic and cultural integrity. He called for intensified international diplomatic, legal, and political efforts to establish a Palestinian state within 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, highlighting the importance of international legal accountability and sustainable reconstruction efforts.
Dr. Mustafa stressed that political will and global support are crucial to advancing Palestinian rights and regional stability.
