The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States and the Arab Atomic Energy Agency, is holding a regional technical meeting on strengthening Arab cooperation in nuclear and radiological emergency preparedness and response.
The meeting, taking place in Vienna from November 3 to 7, 2025, is part of the IAEA’s regional technical cooperation program and brings together experts from Arab countries and the Agency.
Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Maliki, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Economic Affairs Sector at the Arab League, said the meeting underscores Arab countries’ commitment to enhancing nuclear and radiological safety and protecting people and the environment from radiation risks.
He emphasized the importance of developing scientific and technical cooperation frameworks with international organizations, particularly the IAEA.
