The Arab League strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain and Kuwait for a second consecutive day, as well as attacks against Jordan, describing them as a blatant violation of Arab states' sovereignty and international law.
In a statement issued Thursday, the spokesperson for Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy said the attacks represent unacceptable aggression and violate U.N. Security Council Resolution 2817.
The spokesperson warned that Iran's continued escalation reflects a deliberate attempt to undermine regional peace and stability while disregarding its international commitments. He called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by taking steps to halt the escalation and encourage a return to diplomatic negotiations.
The Arab League reaffirmed its full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, pledging support for all measures they take to safeguard their security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
