The League of Arab States on Friday condemned what it described as “flagrant Israeli aggression” following a deadly strike on the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside at dawn on Nov. 28. The attack resulted in the deaths of several civilians, the organization said.
In a statement, the Arab League accused Israel of escalating violations in Syria, including incursions into the buffer zone in breach of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. The organization urged the U.N. Security Council and international partners to assume their responsibilities in halting what it called Israeli “impunity” and preventing further instability in the region.
The League called on Israel to immediately cease its attacks and withdraw from Syrian territories occupied after Dec. 8, 2014, warning that continued operations only deepen regional tensions and fuel ongoing conflicts.
