League of Arab States Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit strongly condemned Iranian attacks targeting the port of Duqm in Oman and an oil tanker off its coast.
In a statement, Aboul Gheit described the strikes as a blatant violation of international law and a threat to regional stability, maritime security and energy supplies. He said the attacks undermine Oman’s ongoing mediation efforts aimed at easing tensions and advancing peaceful solutions between Iran and the United States.
Aboul Gheit warned that repeated attacks on civilian infrastructure and shipping in the Gulf represent an unacceptable escalation and endanger civilian lives. He expressed full solidarity with Oman and other affected Arab states, affirming support for measures taken to safeguard sovereignty, security and stability across the region.
