Secretary-General of Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, has condemned in the strongest terms the continuation of Iranian attacks that once again targeted the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones.

He emphasized that these attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the provisions of international law, the United Nations Charter, and relevant Security Council resolutions.

Aboul Gheit stressed his categorical rejection of the Iranian escalation, considering that targeting Kuwait endangers civilian lives and compromises the state's sovereignty, security, and stability.

He noted that these developments come at a time when diplomatic efforts aimed at ending tensions and containing the crisis in the region are ongoing.

The Secretary-General affirmed that persisting with this approach will only increase Iran's regional and international isolation, while undermining chances for de-escalation and political solutions.

He also called for respecting the sovereignty of states and refraining from any actions that would threaten security and stability in the region.

The official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Gamal Roshdy, conveyed Aboul Gheit's praise for the efficiency of the Kuwaiti Air Defense Forces in intercepting the attacks.

Furthermore, he reaffirmed the Arab League's stance alongside the State of Kuwait, offering full support for all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The Arab League emphasized that Kuwait's security is an integral part of the Arab national security system, reaffirming continuous Arab solidarity in the face of any threats targeting the stability of the Gulf state.
