The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, has condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian aggression that targeted the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan using ballistic missiles and drones.
He emphasized that these attacks represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
Aboul Gheit also expressed deep concern over the continuation of Iranian attacks on Arab territories, considering them a clear indication of an unacceptable approach aimed at destabilizing regional security.
Moreover, he stressed that the continuation of such policies would only increase tensions and further complicate the regional situation.
The official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Gamal Roshdy, conveyed Aboul Gheit’s assurance of full solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.
He also reaffirmed the Arab League's unwavering support for all measures taken by these countries to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Aboul Gheit called on the concerned parties to swiftly reach an agreement that puts an end to the current crisis and halts the cycle of escalation.
Furthermore, he emphasized the critical importance of working to contain tensions in order to preserve security and stability across the region.
