During his address at the 33rd Arab League Summit held in Manama on Thursday, Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit urged the international community to exert pressure on Israel to cease its military operations in Gaza and end its occupation.
Aboul Gheit criticized the ongoing support Israel receives from its allies, which he claims enables the continuation of what he described as "ethnic cleansing operations in Gaza by force."
Aboul Gheit emphasized the necessity of a concrete and definitive plan to establish a Palestinian state and called for an international peace conference to promote the two-state solution, reflecting a vision for lasting peace in the region.
He expressed a strong stance that peace would remain elusive as long as Israeli occupation persists.
