A senior Arab League official on Monday held talks with Armenia’s ambassador to Egypt on regional and international political developments and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Dr. Khaled bin Mohammed Manzlawy, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League and head of the International Political Affairs Sector, met with Ambassador Ermine Sarkissian at the League’s headquarters in Cairo, according to an official statement.
The two sides exchanged views on a range of political issues of mutual concern, including current global challenges, the statement said.
Discussions also focused on enhancing existing cooperation mechanisms between the Arab League’s General Secretariat and the Republic of Armenia, with an emphasis on advancing practical collaboration under a memorandum of understanding signed in 2005.
Both sides underscored the importance of building on the agreement to open broader prospects for constructive and sustained cooperation.
