The Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries concluded a five-day advanced training program on negotiation and crisis management for Sudanese professionals at the Arab League headquarters, officials said.
The program was held under the patronage of Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit. The closing session was attended by Kamal Bashir, Deputy Head of Sudan’s Mission to Egypt and the Arab League, along with program experts.
Assistant Secretary-General Mohand Saleh Lajouzi, Director-General of the Fund, thanked Aboul Gheit for his support, saying the initiative reflects the League’s commitment to helping Sudan stabilize its institutions during a critical period.
Senior Egyptian diplomats — Amb. Mohamed Badr Eldin Zayed, Amb. Salah Halima, and Minister Plenipotentiary Tamer Azzam — delivered lectures covering negotiation, crisis management, rumor control, documentation of violations, and diplomacy in reconstruction efforts.
Lajouzi said the training equipped participants with practical tools to support Sudan’s recovery. He affirmed the Fund’s commitment to expanding specialized programs in partnership with the Arab League.
