The Egyptian Nuclear Power Plants Authority announced that the opening session of the Sixth Arab Forum on “Prospects for Electricity Generation and Desalination of Sea Water with Nuclear Energy” will be launched under the auspices of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, on Tuesday, December 6.
On hishis part, Dr. Amgad El-Wakil, Chairman of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority, affirmed that Egypt sends a message of peace to the world through the implementation of its peaceful nuclear program to generate electricity in the city of Dabaa with a capacity of 4800 megawatts.
He stressed that this project will be an example to follow, and the operation of the marine pier to receive the equipment of the nuclear plant will be completed. Dabaa over the next few weeks.
Dr. Al Wakil stated that the first set of long-term equipment for the nuclear plant is expected to be received next January.
He noted that the Russian Rosatom Nuclear Energy Company is progressing in the manufacture of turbines for the first nuclear power unit of the Dabaa nuclear plant, as 90% of the shaft manufacturing has been completed.
