Arab foreign ministers have commended Egypt's recent endeavors, evidenced by several initiatives aimed at seeking resolutions to the ongoing Sudanese crisis. A notable example is Egypt's hosting of the neighboring countries' summit on July 13, 2023, which outlined a comprehensive path focused on ceasefire measures, facilitating humanitarian efforts, and fostering inclusive dialogue among Sudanese parties.

In a resolution titled "Support for Peace and Development in the Republic of Sudan", concluded at the 160th session of the Arab League Council at the foreign ministers' level, chaired by Morocco, the ministers reaffirmed their solidarity with Sudan. The resolution emphasizes safeguarding Sudan's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence, while staunchly opposing any external interference, viewing the current crisis as an internal matter. The ministers underscored the importance of preserving Sudanese state institutions to prevent potential collapse and curb external meddling in Sudan's internal affairs.

The ministers welcomed the Jeddah Humanitarian Declaration, reached on May 11, 2023. This agreement, signed by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, reaffirms commitments to international humanitarian law applicable to the armed conflict. It was achieved through concerted Saudi and American efforts in collaboration with various international and regional initiatives. The declaration calls for the military's exit from civilian zones, residential areas, and service facilities.

Furthermore, the ministers highlighted the importance of backing ongoing efforts led by the government of Egypt within the framework of the initiative of Sudan's neighboring countries. They welcomed the outcomes of the first meeting of the neighboring countries' ministerial mechanism held in Chad's capital, N'Djamena, on August 7, 2023.

Arab foreign ministers also expressed appreciation for the inaugural meeting of the Arab contact group, responsible for monitoring developments in Sudan. This group includes representatives from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League. They stressed the centrality of this contact group in working towards an urgent resolution of the current crisis, calling for an immediate and lasting ceasefire to preserve the Sudanese people's capabilities. The ministers emphasized the group's importance in continuing its noble efforts, collaborating with Sudanese parties to prioritize wisdom, uphold Sudan's supreme interests, and work towards solutions that meet the Sudanese people's aspirations for security, stability, and development.
