The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport held the fifth edition of its Tech Innovation Challenge on Wednesday, aiming to foster innovation and develop students’ skills in technology and artificial intelligence.
The competition, organized under the patronage of academy president Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, attracted strong participation from more than 300 teams representing over 30 public, private, international, and STEM schools, as well as 10 universities. After preliminary rounds, 134 teams advanced to the final stage to present their projects.
Senior education and military officials attended the event, which featured project presentations evaluated by academic and industry experts. Organizers said the initiative reflects growing national efforts to prepare students for the digital economy and encourage innovation through training and mentorship opportunities.
