"Aquaman" director James Wan has revealed the title for his upcoming DC sequel.
Wan unveiled on Instagram that the sequel is titled "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom". He also shared the title card with a picture from a production meeting, and captioned: “The tide is rising,”.

Jason Momoa will be reprising his title role as Aquaman in the sequel, which will also bring back Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren, and Amber Heard.
The original movie was released in December 2018 and grossed over $1 billion, making it the only DC movie to reach that number outside of Christopher Nolan’s "The Dark Knight" trilogy.
Wan is producing along with Peter Safran, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is also returning to pen the sequel.
In addition, Warners has a full roster of DC movies projects coming up, including "The Suicide Squad" (Aug. 6), "The Batman" (March 4, 2022), "The Flash" (Nov. 4, 2022), "Black Adam" (July 29, 2022) and "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" (June 2, 2023).
"Batgirl," "Supergirl", "Wonder Woman 3", "Green Lantern Corps", "Static Shock", and "Blue Beetle" are also in development.
“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” will open on Dec. 16, 2022.
