April 7 marks World Health Day, which draws attention to health concerns that affect people all over the world.
The day also aims to commemorate the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO).
On this day in 1948, countries of the world came together and established WHO to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable – so everyone, everywhere can attain the highest level of health and well-being.
The theme of this year is "Health For All '' and it focused on creating an opportunity for the world to look back at public health successes that have helped improve the quality of life over the past 70 years, according to WHO.
The theme also urges the world to take required actions which can help tackle health challenges today and tomorrow.
To mark the day, WHO holds a variety of events and activities, including health campaigns, educational seminars, and community outreach programs.
