The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has forecast a slight decrease in temperatures across northern regions of the country, including Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Conditions are expected to be relatively cool during the early morning hours, becoming warm to hot during the day across most areas.

The western coast will experience moderate weather, while southern Upper Egypt is set to see very hot conditions. Temperatures will drop again at night, bringing cooler and more comfortable weather.

There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall over parts of the northwestern coast and the northern Delta, with the possibility of extending to northeastern coastal areas later in the day at intervals.

Weak chances of light rain, estimated at around 20 percent, may also affect parts of the southern Delta and Canal cities, with limited extension toward Greater Cairo.

Winds will be active across much of the country, with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 km per hour.

In some regions, particularly the Western Desert, Greater Cairo, the Delta, Canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt, winds may carry sand and dust, leading to reduced visibility.

Gusts could reach between 45 and 55 km per hour at times.

In Greater Cairo, temperatures are expected to range between 16 and 27 degrees Celsius. Coastal cities such as Alexandria will see milder conditions, with highs around 22 degrees, while inland areas remain warmer.
