Application Opened for Program of Talented Young Scientists in China

CAIRO, Feb. 1 (SEE) - The Academy of Scientific Research opened the application process for candidates to participate at program of young talented scientists organized by the Chinese government in cooperation with the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (UNCTAD) 2019 - 2020.

The program aims at developing the capacity of participants in science and technology to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of sustainable development as well as enhancing cooperation among developing countries members of the Commission as well as supporting South-South cooperation. The program also allows full-time work for young scientists, with a number of high-level Chinese research teams for 6 months or a year.

The Chinese government, in cooperation with the UNCTAD secretariat, will nominate a number of universities, institutes and research centers to host the program participants, each of whom will receive a monthly salary of 12,500 yuan for accommodation, living and insurance.
