Apple has once again claimed the top spot as the world’s most valuable brand, securing the position for the fourth consecutive year with a staggering brand value of $1.3 trillion, according to Fortune and the latest Kantar BrandZ rankings.
The US tech giant, headquartered in Cupertino, California, saw its brand value surge by 28% compared to last year. The valuation is equivalent to the combined GDP of Sweden, Vietnam, and Peru, highlighting the immense market power Apple continues to command globally.
Kantar BrandZ, which has been evaluating brand value for over two decades, noted significant growth among the top 100 global brands. While Apple retained its lead, tech giants Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Nvidia rounded out the top five.
Nvidia, in particular, recorded the fastest growth, with a remarkable 152% increase in brand value over the past year.
This explosive growth reflects Nvidia’s central role in the booming AI and semiconductor industries. Other brands that witnessed over 100% growth included Huawei, VMware, Xiaomi, and Instagram, all of which saw significant boosts in brand perception and market relevance.
Among this year’s biggest newcomers was OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT. Making its debut in 60th place, OpenAI entered the rankings with a brand value of $43.5 billion.
This places the AI firm close to household names like Disney, which ranked 52nd at $48.6 billion, and Nike at $49.4 billion.
The list also highlighted a notable international presence. Swedish streaming giant Spotify returned to the top 100, landing at number 76.
Indian telecom provider Airtel and Argentine e-commerce company Mercado Libre were also featured, showcasing the growing influence of non-US companies in the global brand arena.
