Apple announced on Monday its plans to produce up to 96 million iPhones for the first half of 2021, a nearly 30% year-on-year increase. The firm is set to build up to 230 million iPhones, including both old and new models.

On other hand, Apple is preparing an aggressive production schedule for its high-end computers, including the MacBook Pro and iMac Pro, for 2021. The company is in the midst of replacing Intel central processors in its computer lineups with self-designed CPUs built using technology from British chip designer Arm.

Also, 2021 iPhone lineup will look similar to the 2020 iPhone lineup, with four devices in sizes that include 5.4-inches, 6.1-inches, and 6.7-inches, with two of the iPhones being higher-end “Pro” models and two positioned as lower-cost more affordable devices, according to the firm.

Later, the firm revealed that iPhone 13 will come without charging cables as it plans for an entirely wireless future, according to Tech reportes .

The technical leaks reported that this will help Apple overcome the problem of not presenting a foldable phone yet, in addition to better water resistance in the upcoming (iPhone) phones, and an increase in sales of new (MagSafe) wireless chargers. After the addition of MagSafe, a wireless future seems inevitable for the iPhone. It offers a glimpse into Apple’s vision where a cord-free iPhone accessory ecosystem is made possible by magnets, not ports.

Noteworthy, Apple joined a coalition of firms looking to define and develop 6G, the next-generation mobile technology. Apple joins the group whose members include Charter, Cisco, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Keysight Technologies, LG, Mavenir, MITRE, and VMware.

Meanwhile, this group aims to establish North America as a major player in the development of 6G, according to a recent announcement made by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) technology company.
