Arab Parliament (AP) Speaker Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi praised the significant and successive steps taken by the Egyptian state in the field of protecting and promoting human rights.

This came during Al-Asoumi's speech at the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Human Rights Observatory in its second session, held today, Saturday, in Cairo.

He added that these efforts have culminated in tangible results through the formulation and implementation of the Egyptian Human Rights Strategy, which came about with political will and determination to execute and support its success from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Moroever, Al-Asoumi noted that the strategy has successfully established a comprehensive and integrated concept of human rights, inaugurating an advanced and pioneering system.

Furthermore, Arab Parliament speaker emphasized that the Arab Human Rights Observatory will continue to strongly support the development of the Arab human rights system, promoting human rights culture, and enhancing enforcement mechanisms according to objective standards and mechanisms.

He also stressed that this approach aims not only to highlight challenges and weaknesses but also to spotlight and commend the positive achievements.
