AP Speaker Congratulates Sisi on 10th of Ramadan War Victory Anniversary

Arab Parliament (AP) Speaker, Adel bin Abd al-Rahman al-Assoumi, congratulated Egypt's leadership, parliament, people and great army on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of 10th of Ramadan victory.

In a statment, Al-Assoumi appreciated the great efforts made by the Egyptian state under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to achieve development in Sinai through the establishment of various mega projects, which came in parallel with the war that the Egypt was waging to purify Sinai from terrorism and extremist ideology.

Noteworthy, Egypt won the 6 October 1973 War against Israel. The victory paved the way for the return of the occupied Sinai Peninsula to Egypt after the Camp David Peace Accords were signed with Israel in 1979.

While the state celebrates the anniversary of the war on both the Hijri and Gregorian calendars, citizens only take the annual Gregorian anniversary of the war on 6 October as a national holiday.
