AP Condemns Killing of 2 Egyptian Peacekeepers in Mali Blast

The Arab Parliament (AP) strongly condemned the terrorist attack against a logistics convoy of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), which resulted in the death of two Egyptian soldiers and five others were injured.

In a statemnet, the AP offered its sincere condolences and sympathy to the President, Government, Parliament and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to the families of the victims, and wished the speedy recovery of the injured.

The AP also called for the need to intensify Arab, regional and international efforts to counter terrorist organizations and extremist ideology aimed at destabilizing international security and stability.

In the same context, it praised the constructive efforts of Egypt and its valiant armed forces within the United Nations peacekeeping forces.
