Egyptian archaeologist, Dr. Zahi Hawass, won the pioneering Award in Antiquities at the Third Arab Forum for Tourism and Heritage, which was held from 7/31 to 8/1 in Sultanate of Oman, with the participation of a large number of media professionals, tourism men, and Arab archaeologists.
Hawass talked about the importance of tourism in the Arab countries and the future of tourism in Egypt, stressing that the Arab countries have very important heritage and monuments.
Hawass explained that the Grand Egyptian Museum is the most important cultural project in the 21st century, indicating that he is happy to participate in building this museum.
He talked about the recent archaeological discoveries in Saqqara, Luxor and the Pyramid of Khufu.
