The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) announced that maintenance work and preparation for the Mummies Hall had been completed.
The hall will open to visitors on April 18, which coincides with World Heritage Day.
NMEC Deputy CEO Inas Gaafar said in remarks on Thursday that the coffins for most of the mummies have been installed inside the halls, adding that work is underway to place other artifacts related to mummies.
During the last period, a team of archaeologists worked to prepare mummies for display in the Mummies Hall of the national museum.
The royal mummies from the Egyptian Museum were transported in Tahrir to NMEC in special capsules filled with nitrogen to ensure their protection.
NMEC tickets are 60 pounds for Egyptians and 200 pounds for foreigners.
