Angolan President: Nile Is Not Monopoly, It Belongs to All

The Angolan President, Joao Lourenco, called for sitting at the dialogue table to find a common interest between the upstream and downstream countries, stressing that the Nile River should be a source of unity, commenting: “The Nile is not the monopoly, it belongs to all.

Lourenco said in a press conference with President El-Sisi that he discussed bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two countries with President El-Sisi, pointing out to the experience of Egyptian companies working in the field of construction and reconstruction, especially after building new cities and the administrative capital in Egypt.

He added that Egyptian companies working in the field of construction have great experience that they can offer to Angola, which needs a lot of infrastructure and development. Egyptian companies can also work in the Angolan market, he added. 

On the security situation in the continent, he said:" We discussed the issue of security in the Horn of Africa, the Congo and Mozambique, as well as the countries affected by the situation in Libya and the conflict in Sudan, pointing out to the Egyptian-Angolan coordination to find a solution to the Sudanese crisis.
