Egyptian megastar Amr Diab was set to perform live at the New Alamein city tomorrow, Friday, which was organized by Tazkarti Company.

However, it has been canceled over the possibility of the venue getting too crowded, in a bid to stem the spread of Coronavirus.

The company announced that the concert will be held after the end of the coronavirus.

On the other hand, Diab is set to perform on Friday his first-ever virtual concert, which will broadcast on music streaming platform Anghami.

Diab's fans in Egypt will be able to watch his concert exclusively through Anghami, after buying their ticket, which cost EGP 10, from the platform.

The concert will be held at 05:00 PM (Cairo local time).

The 58-year-old singing legend’s latest artistic work is the music video, “Amaken El Sahar”.

The song is by the lyrics of Tamer Hussein, composed by Aziz El-Shafei, and distributed by Tarek Madkour, and directed by Ahmed El-Naggar.

“Amaken El Sahar” was filmed in Hacienda Bay, North Coast, which features Dina El Sherbiny in Diab’s music video for the first time as well as a number of his friends.

Diab is also preparing to screen the music video in the cinemas across the country for the audiences to see it in the halls.

"Amaken El Sahar" will mark the third music video to be released in the cinemas, throughout the 58-year-old singing legend career, who was the first singer to introduce the idea.

In 1996, Diab presented the idea for the first time through his music video “Nour El Ain”, and the second was with music video “We Malo” in 2005.

Moreover, the 58-year-old singing legend will resume acting after a 27-year hiatus with an Arabic original series for Netflix. The production, currently untitled, will be a musical drama, which is under development.

“I am thrilled to work with Netflix on this new project. I have always believed that art is a global language, and we have been able to build bridges of connections and love with perse cultures through music,” Diab said.

Diab co-starred in three films “El Afareet”, “Ice Cream in Gleam”, and “Dehk Wa Le’b Wa Gad Wa Hob”.

He co-starred as himself in his first film, “El Afareet” — released in 1989 — with prominent Egyptian actress, Madiha Kamel.

In 1992, Diab starred in his second film “Ice Cream in Gleam”, which was chosen as one of the best five Egyptian musical films by the “UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television”.

The bestselling artist’s third film “Dehk Wa Le’b Wa Gad Wa Hob” came out in 1993, co-starring international Egyptian star Omar Sharif and prominent Egyptian actress Yousra.

Despite the films’ success, Diab did not experience the same level of success in acting as he had with his music.

He has focused on his singing career since 1993.
