Amnesty International has accused Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians during its ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza.
In a recent report, the global human rights organization claimed that Israel’s military actions, including widespread destruction, attacks on civilians, and obstruction of humanitarian aid, meet the legal definition of genocide.
The report highlights that Israel’s actions—such as targeted bombings, the demolition of essential infrastructure, and preventing the entry of food and medical supplies—are aimed at deliberately destroying the Palestinian population.
Amnesty’s secretary general, Agnes Callamard, stressed that these findings demand urgent international attention and action.
Amnesty also criticized the role of Israel’s allies, including the United States, suggesting they could be complicit in these acts by continuing arms supplies to Israel.
The organization called for an immediate suspension of military support to Israel.
Israel has vehemently denied the accusations, labelling the report as "fabricated" and based on falsehoods. In response, its Foreign Ministry dismissed Amnesty International’s findings as "fanatical and baseless."
