Zamalek's general football supervisor Amir Mortada on Tuesday said that his club and Pyramids have refused to postpone the CAF Champions League (CL) and Confederation Cup (CC) semi-finals.
In statements to Zamalek's official website, Mortada said that both clubs' officials have refused the idea of delaying the semi-finals dates.
"Both clubs have suggested to holding the semi-finals legs in Egypt, in the event that the circumstances in Morocco have not allowed to hold the matches there ," Zamalek's supervisor noted.
It is worth mentioning that Moroccan Reports claimed earlier that the CAF is set to hold a meeting on Thursday to announce the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup semi-finals dates.
Egypt's Zamalek will take on Raja on September 25 in the first leg, while the second leg will be on October 2.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly are set to clash against Wydad on September 26, whereas the second leg will be on October 3.
According to "Le 360," CAF's executive committee will announce on Thursday the postponement of the Champions League semi-finals.
It also added that the first leg of the semi-finals encounters will take place on October 16 and 17, while the second leg will be held on October 23 and 24.
The Moroccan newspaper also noted that the final will take place at the end of October.
"Le 360" also confirmed that the CAF can't hold the game as announced in September because of the coronavirus pandemic in Egypt and Morocco.
